How I use Technology- I use Technology in my every day life. I own a smart phone and use it every day to use apps and text and call people. The apps I use can help me check my money in my bank accounts or go on social media to see what my friends are doing. I also use my phone to check the weather every day to see what I should wear outside especially when the seasons start changing. I also own a laptop which I also use every day. The laptop is my main source of internet browsing that I do, If I would do homework for classes, then my laptop is the piece of technology I would use first.
I also use my laptop for entertainment value such as looking up videos when I am bored or get on social media and instant message friends.
How Technology affects my life- Technology affects my life every day because I am able to do things from my hand like check the weather so I know what I should wear when I go outside. this allows me to be better prepared for the day and saves time for me to go out and actually check the weather myself. Communication is also a lot better from technology because it can be instant via text message and I can respond at any time allowing me to communicate at my own time or as fast as possible for the other person to receive.
Your concerns with social media- I don't have a whole lot of concerns with social media because it can be very useful and a better way to stay connected with more people you know. The only problem I have with social media is that people use shortened words and seem to use less of their brains when using such things and get into trouble all the time while using it. I think being better educated before using it would help a lot and make people not as bad as they are on it. Also people have a computer ego about themselves because they hide behind a monitor.
I feel like I could turn off social media, cell phones, video games, and TV and still function just fine. I normally don't watch TV anyways so that one would be easy. The video games kinda goes hand and hand with that so I feel that one would be easy to get rid of. The social media is the next easiest for me to get rid of because I do not use it as much as other people and I don't even post anything really. Cell phones would be hardest of all because it is so convenient to use with communication and other apps to help you keep track of everything.
I agree that the use of our smart phones impact our daily lives. I also use my cell phone apps to check my bank accounts, check my email, and check my social media accounts.
